More than a year is too long.

I have neglected posting on this blog for too long, more than a year and a half. Well I now have a Ren24 waiting to be put together and now that my soldering station has come in I will get to it soon.

Medium Tree

Today I made a Medium Tree out of a piece of rebar roughly 6ft long, 16 long screws (roughly 1ft long) and 7 100 light strands 22.6ft long, I’ll try to remember to post a picture later.

Wind and Cost

Well where do I start? Today it was very windy outside so I had to take apart my mega tree so it wouldn’t break.

It also looks like I will need to save up around 1k to get things going. Heres the link to my topic at Computer Christmas:

Yes I’m still adding even though Christmas has passed

Today I added a path and a mini tree containing a combined total of about 300 lights

I have also started messing around with Vixen even though I don’t have a controller yet.

A life saver, GFCI

Today around 6:30 it started raining, It’s a good thing the display was on GFCI because it popped (tripped). I need to get it so that rain doesn’t trip the GFCI circuit…

Adding on Christmas Eve…

Even though it’s Christmas Eve I still had some things I needed to add today… Like the Manger Scene, the Wise Men and the deer. I also placed my four green candy canes today or tonight as it turned out to be.

Additions

Today I added 7 stings of Icicle lights, 1 multi-color string(300) and 1 multi-color(100).

I don’t know how many lights are on each string of Icicle lights but if they each contained 100 then today I added 1.1k lights.

Blog changes

This blog is now going to be the place where I post about my venture into the world of computer controlled Christmas lights I hope I will remember to keep it updated whenever I change something!
